The Ashes Playing Field Trust is a registered charity (No. 523252) dedicated to the upkeep and enhancement of The Ashes Playing Field in Howden, East Yorkshire.

Our Mission

Our mission is to maintain and develop this public playing field for recreational and sporting purposes, benefiting the residents of Howden and its surrounding areas.

1927

Generous donation by Charles Briggs of the playing field and historic Bishops Manor House.

1950s

Development of sports facilities including bowling greens and cricket pitch.

Present Day

A thriving community space hosting various events and activities throughout the year.
